Jessica Childress has released a new single and is planning an album for early 2018.

Jessica Childress from Season 4 of The Voice has released the third song from her upcoming album.

And she has a confession: It’s her favorite song from the album.

It’s called “Waves,” and you can check out the single below.

“I wanted to paint a picture with the music and the lyrics of the tide going in and out, drawing you further out into the deep — that helpless feeling that you sort of give yourself over to,” Jessica told rnbmagazine.com.

“It’s lush and it brings a sense of presence that I found comforting in the chaos of this world.”

Jessica was 26 when she auditioned for Season 4 and landed a spot on Team Usher. She was eliminated in the battle round. She’s since released an EP, 2014’s “Don’t Forget My Name.”

She’s planning to release her debut album “Days” in January. The other songs already released are “Far Away” and “Starting Today.”

Here’s the new song.
