Jessica Childress from The Voice Season 4 has released a new single and music video.

The song is called “Starting Today,” and Jessica says it’s about knowing when it’s time to throw in the towel on a relationship.

“Starting Today is about realizing that you don’t need anything or anyone but you,” Childress told atwoodmagaine.com, which premiered the music video.

“It’s about understanding that sometimes even things that we love the most are actually weights holding us down, and finding the courage to let them go.”

The song is the second single Jessica has released recently, following 2016’s “Far Away.” She also released several remixes of that song earlier this year.

She also released a 2014 EP called “Don’t Forget My Name,” including the fun single and video called “I Quit.”

On The Voice, Jessica nailed down the very last spot in Season 4, earning a place on Team Usher with a performance of “Marry Me.” Twenty-six at the time of her audition, she was eliminated in that season’s battle round.
