Joey Green released his debut album in 2004 and has followed it up with at least five since.

But the veteran musician says he’s already seen the benefits of appearing on Season 15 of The Voice.

Joey made the show at age 35 with a performance of “Baba O’Riley” by The Who, turning two chairs and opting to join Team Blake Shelton.

His time on the show ended following a battle round performance of “Thing Called Love” in which Michael Lee was declared the winner.

Here’s what Joey told Voice Views about his time on the show and his music moving forward.

Voice Views: The battle round was filmed in June. What have you been doing in terms of music or the entertainment industry since then. Has there been a specific post-Voice experience that stands out so far?

Joey: I did a 8-day tour in London which was a blast and I have been playing several tour dates across Texas. The attendance has grown amazingly. (Editor’s Note: The London Tour is an annual event called the Texas Music Takeover and also included former Voice contestants Luke Wade and Austin Allsup.)

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect in terms of sound/timing?

Joey: I plan to release the songs I performed on the show as well as a Christmas song. I also have several new original projects in the coming year. Post Americana sound wise.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Joey: One hundred percent. The training vocally and wardrobe and rehearsals etc made me step up my game.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about your experience on the show?

Joey: he friendships with other contestants will last forever. I’m truly excited about the future and maybe we will see some Voice artists collaborate!
