Two of the songs from Tuesday’s episode of The Voice were charting on iTunes this morning.

Only five singers who made the show were featured in Tuesday’s episode.

The best performance on iTunes comes from 31-year-old rocker Johnny Gates, now a member of Team Gwen Stefani.

His cover of Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May” was sitting at number 40 on the iTunes rock chart this morning.

Malik Davage also cracked the Top 200 on a genre chart, sitting at number 138 on the R&B / soul chart with his cover of Miguel’s “Sure Thing.”

The other three songs from Tuesday’s show — by Lauryn Judd, Caroline Sky and Josh Hoyer — were all classified as pop and had failed to crack the Top 200 as of 8 a.m.

But as I’ve noted before, climbing the pop and country charts is far more difficult than scaling the rock and R&B charts.

None of the songs from Tuesday’s show have cracked iTunes Top 200 overall singles chart yet.

However, Taylor Alexander’s unique country cover of Cher’s “Believe” from Monday’s show has climbed to number 162 on that chart.
