* Brittany Kennell from Season 10 released her debut country album, “I Ain’t a Saint,” on Friday. About half of the 10 tracks had previously been released as singles, including “Drunk Lips” and “Eat, Drink, Remarry.” But their are plenty of new gems too, including “Most Wanted,” which you can check out below. Formerly based in Nashville, now back home in Montreal, Brittany says the album “is about being your most honest and your most vulnerable, with others and, most importantly, with yourself.” She also calls it an album of “happy breakup songs,” adding “this album came after a very tough break up for me, taking a year off of music & finally finding myself.”

* Johnny Gates, the Season 10 rocker turned country artist, released the eight-song “East Music Row” on Friday. Again, some of the songs were pre-released as singles. A standout among the new tracks is “Will I Still Love You,” in which Johnny wonders how long it will take a past love to fade. Says Johnny: “Nashville has been my home base since 2008, and immediately I always felt kind of stuck in between Music Row and East Nashville. There were times I leaned way more into the Music Row stuff, and then with my band, Runaway Saints, leaned into the East vibe. But, after thinking it was a negative, I finally just decided to be myself, and try to blend the two worlds, and that’s where the East Music Row concept came from.”

Cassadee Pope from The Voice Season 3

* Cassadee Pope, the Season 3 champ, just announced she has an album on the way too. The 13-song “Thrive” will be released Oct. 15 and is available for pre-order now. As an appetizer, Cassadee also released another song from the album, “Tomorrow Night.” It’s a song she wrote with Devin Guisande and Aaron Chafin. The former lead singer of Hey Monday says fans might notice some punk rock influences. ““It’s a love song at its core, wrapped in walls of guitars and high energy percussion. I hope people relate to this lyric of just wanting to fast forward to the moment you get to be with the person you’re in love with,” she says. She also came up with the treatment for the music video. Just wait til you see who Cassadee couldn’t wait to be reunited with!
