Jordan Smith’s debut album was one of the most successful in the 14-season history of The Voice.

Released in early 2016, “Something Beautiful” landed at number two on the Billboard 200 and sold 54,000 copies in its first week.

So what about his sophomore album, released earlier this month?

“Only Love” failed to crack the Billboard Top 200 when the new chart was posted this week.

Nine other new albums made that chart, with Nicki Minaj’s “Queen” leading the way at number two.

It wasn’t for a lack of trying. Jordan performed the title track from his new album on Good Morning America days after the album’s release.

The “Only Love” vertical video debuted on Spotify last week as well.

And the single is performing well.

“Only Love” the song reached a new peak of 24 on Billboard’s adult contemporary pop singles chart this week.

In a recent Facebook chat with fans, Jordan said it only seemed right to make that the title of the album as well.

That partly because he considers the song “his baby.” He had a big hand in writing it and says he loves the message. But it also made a good album title because of the makeup of the songs on “Only Love.”

“If you go down the list of songs on the album, a lot of the songs are about love,” he says. “Actually, probably all of them are about some sort of love or loss of love. It (the album) kind of tells a love story in a way. I think the whole overarching theme of the album is love, so the title ‘Only Love’ made sense.”

In case you missed it, here’s the Good Morning America performance.

only love is kind of my baby because I

that song is my baby, i love it so much … part of it is

You don’t think the album leaking days before release had anything to do with the charting on Billboard?
