She’s only 15, and Lela already has a stage name.

Not to mention a spot on The Voice Season 15.

The show introduced us to the charismatic 15-year-old Tuesday night. Showing uncanny stage presence for someone so young, she auditioned with Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” sang in English and Spanish, turned two chairs and landed a spot on Team Jennifer Hudson.

During a conference cal the next day, Lela explained her stage name to Voice Views.

“My actual name is Pamela Restrepo,” she said. “And at first I was like, nobody’s going to remember this name because my last name is so complicated and people will make fun of me and all that.

“And my whole life my family would call me Lela because, when I was a baby, I didn’t know how to pronounce my name. So I would just say Lela. And ever since that everybody calls me Lela.

“And I think it’s simple, it’s cute and it’s just who I am.”

Though she’s just a sophomore in high school, Lela has substantial experience in musical theater.

That’s one reason she figured Jennifer Hudson would make a perfect coach.

That’s one reason why she decided to audition for The Voice at such a young age, though some of the Season 15 contestants have been performing since before she was born.

“This is a dream I’ve always wanted, and I’m always doing this – I’m singing and dancing. I’m always practicing,” she said.

“So I’m very used to striving for what I want and then, once I saw that The Voice was coming (for auditions) I just thought I have to do this. I don’t lose anything from this.

“I just wanted to try and see how it goes. And then, thank God, everything went great and now I’m on Team JHUD.”

We’ll next see Lela during The Voice battle rounds. For more on the teenager from Miami, head here. The blind auditions conclude Monday on The Voice.
