Talk about a nice 21st birthday present.

First, Korin Bukowski got to watch the airing of her battle round triumph on The Voice.

It was an endearing vocal performance that proved her ability to land a spot on the show was no fluke, in spite of her inexperience as a solo artist.

Then she got to watch the cover of “Samson” that she recorded with battle partner Chase Kerby climb the iTunes’ music charts.

It turned out to be the second most popular song from the third night of battles, cracking the Top 100 on the iTunes’ singles chart. Over on the alternative singles chart, it cracked the Top 10 and was sitting at number 8 as of noon EST Tuesday.

“Pretty awesome,” was the response from Korin, who a couple of weeks ago admitted she had not “done anything on my own at all” musically prior to auditioning for The Voice.

“I’m classically trained,” she said during a Tuesday conference call with the media. “I’m theatrically trained. But when it comes to performance, I’m not so great. Luckily for me the song was really subdued and really soft and I could focus more on bringing emotion to the song.”

Korin said she also appreciated coach Gwen Stefani’s selection of the Regina Spektor song because it allowed her to show more of the versatility in her voice.

“I always like a song that tells a story and conveys some sort of emotion,” Korin said. “It was also great to have partner because I learned a lot through (Chase) on how to bring emotion to a song and bring your own style to a song.”

Blake Shelton wound up calling their performance mesmerizing. Gwen Stefani called it captivating.

But in the end, she declared the young woman from Miami the winner. Chase was eliminated when he was not stolen.
