MacKenzie Bourg has released Big, his first single of 2019

He exaggerates, of course, but MacKenzie had released just four singles since placing fourth on Season 15 of Idol in the spring of 2016.

Single number five landed Friday, a catchy pop tune called “Big.”

MacKenzie explained on Instagram.

“Over the course of my career I’ve always found a way to make sure that nothing I did was ever good enough, whether that be the way my mind works or my heart works,” he writes.

“‘Big’ is about finding someone who makes you feel like a superhero and even the little victories in life feel larger than what they are thanks to them. Hope you love it because it’s special to me.”

MacKenzie, 26, was also a Top 20 contestant on Season 3 of The Voice.
