Maelyn Jarmon got the final performance spot Monday night on The Voice and made the most of it.

Not only did she turn in a splendid performance of Coldplay’s “The Scientist,” she also scored the night’s biggest hit on iTunes.

When voted ended at 7 a.m. eastern time, Maelyn’s cover was sitting at number nine on the iTunes overall singles chart. That made her the first singer to crack the Top 10 on that chart this season.

And that was well ahead of Shawn Sounds and Gyth Rigdon, who checked in at number 41 and number 47, respectively.

Gyth had the top performing song on the charts last week.

Also cracking the Top 200 for The Voice as of midnight were Rod Stokes of Team Kelly Clarkson, L.B. Crew of Team Adam Levine, and Carter Lloyd Horne, Dexter Roberts and Andrew Sevener of Team Blake.

Gyth also sings for Team Blake. Shawn and Maelyn are both members of Team John Legend.

Here’s where all the songs stood when voting ended. Remember, comparing genre chart to genre chart is misleading. The pop and country charts tend to be much tougher to scale that the others.
