The minute the song ended, I predicted Matt McAndrew’s “Take Me to Church” would be the most popular performance of the night from The Voice.

And by midnight, the song was already number 14 and climbing on the iTunes Top 200 singles chart.

And when voting ended at noon EST, “Take Me to Church” was up to number five, which makes Matt the first artist this year to earn bonus points toward staying on The Voice.

The other most popular songs early on in the iTunes download race also stemmed from two of Monday’s standout performances. Craig Wayne Boyd was at 11 with “You Look So Good in Love” and Damien was at 12 with “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.”

Here’s who else cracked the Top 200:

Chris Jamison with “Jealous” at number 23

Taylor John Williams with “If” at number 34

Luke Wade with “Thinking Out Loud” at number 37

Anita Antoinette with “Redemption Song” at number 42

DaNica Shirey with “Creep” at number 59

Jessie Pitts with “Don’t Worry Child” at number 90

Reagan James with “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over” at number 112

Ryan Sill with “Ordinary World at 120

That means the only singer who didn’t crack the Top 200 is Sugar Joans.

Over on the genre charts, here’s how things were stacking up as of noon EST.
