His audition: Andrew Jannakos, 25, of Flowery Branch, Ga., auditioned with “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs. The country singer took the stage right after Blake Shelton completed his team, but earned chair turns from Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson. Adam complimented him on a genuinely rich country voice. He joined Team Adam.

More about Andrew …

* Andrew said he grew up in a musical family. “My mother and grandfather sang their entire lives so I was always around all different types of music,” he told Voice Views. “However country music is what speaks to me.”

* When he was 16, Andrew said his grandfather gave him his first guitar and he proceeded to teach himself to play and sing.

* According to his Voice bio, he tried an open mic night three years ago and convinced himself to take music more seriously. He planned to move to Nashville, but family health problems convinced him to put those plans on hold.

* He also auditioned for The Voice for Season 9 (2015), but didn’t make it. “Once a few years passed and I learned more about myself as a musician and singer, I decided to give it another try.” he said.

* In fact, Andrew told Voice Views the blind audition marked the first time he’d been on stage as a solo artist.

* Andrew doesn’t have any content on his YouTube channel at present, but if you head to the Megan Gill Band channel, you’ll find a couple of videos of him singing with the group.

* Andrew says he has some original music, but hasn’t released any yet. “I would describe my sound as 90s country, but I respect all music and do branch out from time to time.”

* As for his decision to sing “Beautiful Crazy” for his audition song … well, that was easy. “It’s mine and my fiancé’s song, so it is a song that’s very close to my heart,” Andrew explained.

* The fiancee would be Katie Michelle, who presented him with the guitar he’d been wanting for years as a present this past Christmas, according to one of his Instagram posts.

* About that coaching pick? “I choose Team Adam because he has the ability to teach me new things about a different genre of music and help me improve my vocals,” Andrew said.
