Demi Rae Moreno of Morgan Hills, Calif., auditioned for American Idol Season 18
And among the singers who have announced that they auditioned is Demi Rae Moreno.
Here’s more about Demi.
* Judging from her Instagram account, her interest in music started early. There’s a photo there of her posing, wearing a sombrero and playing guitar. Both are nearly as big as her.
* In 2008, as a teenager, she won the San Jose Idol competition, earning vocal lessons and a cash prize.
* From San Jose, she’s a graduate of Central High School in Morgan Hills, Calif., and still lives there.
* According to her Facebook page, she’s a teacher at the Kiddie Academy of Morgan Hill.
* She announced her Idol run in late January and printed “DemiRaeAllTheWay” shirts for fans who wanted to show their support.
* She’s apparently a fan of roller skating. There are several photos of her on roller skates on Instagram. And on YouTube — get this — a pair of videos of Demi covering songs in skates. In fact, she moves around quite a bit during a cover of Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry.”
