* That music includes a pair of albums — “In My Dreams” in 2020 and “Love Sessions, Vol. 1” in 2021 — an an EP, “Holidays with Jamar Langley” from 2021.

* In a 2021 interview, Jamar said he grew up in a musical household and beginning singing at church by the time he was 6.

* At age 11, he started playing the keyboard. He later picked up the guitar as well and began writing his own music.

* His most popular song on Spotify — to the tune of more than 400,000 streams — is “Highlight Girl” from his 2020 album.

* Says Jamar about that song: “‘Highlight Girl’ is a record that inspires us as men to acknowledge the woman as the queen, and to see her as a jewel. She is what motivates us to want to give her the world. What motivated me to write the record was my drive to let all women know that they are important, and the presence of them could light up any dark place.”

* Jamar released two new singles in 2022 — “So Beautiful” and “Believe Again” — and has other unreleased originals you can check out on his YouTube channel. Check out “So Beautiful” below.

* In a 2022 interview, Jamar explained his artistry this way: “What sets me apart from others is the fact that I just don’t tap in to the surface of music, I dig deep within the soul to create magic. I’m most proud of the fact that I never gave up on my gift to create music … I want the world to know that my music is a direct reflection of my life and experience.”
