Her audition: Julia Roome, 13, “Dream a Little Dream of Me”: Julia opened the song showing off a really nice tone. That enticed an early chair turn from Niall Horan. Julia would prove there’s some power behind that vocal before her performance ended and got a chair turn from Gwen Stefani as well before delivering a nice ending. Niall complimented her on a dreamy performance. Gwen liked the soul she delivered. She also rushed the stage to hug Julia when she broke down in tears at the end of her audition. Julia joined Team Niall.

Here’s more about Julia.

* She’s a 13-year-old singer-songwriter from Warwick. N.Y. Yep, you read that right: 13, which will surely make her one of the youngest contestants on Season 24.

* In spite of that young age, Julia has released a good bit of music, starting with a debut single called “Steel Glass” when she was just 10.

* She released an EP of original music called “I’m Gunna” when she was 11. According to her website, it hit number 9 on iTunes’ pop albums chart.

* And she’s released two singles this year — “Scar” in April and “Reflection” in June.

* Julia says she wrote “Reflection” “about not knowing who to call for help. Sometimes, I feel lost, trapped, stuck in ne place. I’m her to tell you, you’re not. You can always talk to someone.” Check out the song below.

* Earlier this year, Julia won an amateur night at the Apollo Theater in New York. She also hit 100 percent on the venue’s scream machine.

* Julia has also done some acting, landing the role of a female wizard named Telli in “The Wizard Books.” In December, she posted that it was her first major movie role and would be released on Amazon and Netflix.

* And she has plenty of live performing experience, having toured the East Coast at age 12 “performing as many gigs as she could fit into her schedule,” according to her website.

* She already has a Voice connection of sorts. Her 2022 single “Childhood” — about what it’s like to grow up today — was produced in Nashville by Keegan Ferrell, a Team Blake contestant on Season 20.
