Wade Turner from The Voice Season 30

His audition: Wade Turner, 18, Georgetown, Mass., “This Town” by Niall Horan: Wow, Wade showed off a really impressive tone from the opening note. He was about 40 seconds into the performance when Adam Levine and Riley Green turned simultaneously. At the time, they were the only coaches with spots remaining on their teams. Queen Latifah praised him for great control. Riley said everything about that was perfect and congratulated Wade for cranking it up at the end. Riley said he has no one on his team like Wade. Kelly Clarkson said he deserved a four-chair turn. Adam liked the way Wade drew him into the performance. Wade decided to join Team Adam. (Watch his audition below)

Here’s more about Wade:

* He’s an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Georgetown, Mass. (near Boston) who released his first music earlier this year.

* He also has a background in acting and will be attending Belmont University in Nashville where he intends to major in songwriting and minor in film and TV acting.

* Those released originals include “Blue Eyes,” which dropped in April, and “Not Too Late,” which he released about a month later. “Blue Eyes” is one of the first songs he ever wrote. Check it out below.

* Wade also had a brand new single out — “Come North to Me” — which dropped Friday, just days before The Voice premiere.

* According to his Spotify bio, Wade’s inspiration to become an entertainer stems back to when he was 6 and saw his cousin perform in a local production of “Peter Pan.”

* By the time he was 10, Wade was performing in musical theater as well. He started acting in film and television at age 13.

* In 2022, he played a role in an independent film called “Beyond Detention” about juvenile delinquents sentenced to a wilderness challenge. The film hit streaming sites in 2024.

* And in 2024, he played one of the lead roles in an off-Broadway play in New York called “Terezin: Children of the Holocaust.”

* As for music, that Spotify bio says he began writing songs around age 14, learned to play guitar and then began performing live shows.

* He graduated from Georgetown High School in early June and performed an acoustic version of “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks) at the graduation ceremony. You can check it out on his Facebook page.
