Laci Kaye Booth auditioned for The Voice Season 17.

She’s also one of the talented artists who has announced she auditioned for Season 17 of American Idol.

Here’s more about Laci, 23, of Livingston, Texas.

* Laci’s dad is Jody Booth, is a Texas-based country artist, and she has opened at many of his shows. He also co-wrote one of the songs on her debut EP, released in September 2017.

* Laci describe her music as country-soul, but says on her website bio that she plays other genres as well, including pop and hits from the 1970s and 1980s.

* She lists her inspirations as Stevie Nicks, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Merle Haggard, Elvis Presley, and Patsy Cline.

* Laci released her first single, a song call “Don’t Call Me” in April 2017. She said she wrote the song a couple of years prior. You can check it out below.

* Here’s how Laci describes the song on Instagram: “It describes the torture of trying to get past a relationship when the person keeps trying to work their way back into your life (via phone calls).”

* As for that debut EP, it’s called “Something New” and came out in September 2017. It features seven songs, one cover and six originals. In addition to the single, be sure to check out the catchy “Turn Around” and “I’m Over You.”

* Writes Laci about the project: “Ya’ll do not know how long I’ve been waiting to share this …I wrote these originals around 2 years ago & they mean so much to me as a growing country music artist.”
