* In her Facebook bio, Mandi says she’s started taking voice lessons at age 11 and has been “on stage all of my life.”
* Back in 2007, Mandi auditioned for Season 6 of American Idol and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood.
* In 2008, she graduated from Bethel University with a bachelor of fine arts in music. While there, she was a founding member of the Renaissance Choir of Bethel and toured Japan with the group.
* She’s also been teaching voice since 2010 and is on staff at the Visions Academy of Performing Arts, based in Cordova, Tenn.
* For at least the last three years, Mandi has been singing with a wedding and event band called Cruisin’ Heavy. The band bills itself as the only one in Memphis fronted by two powerhouse female vocalists, the other being Angela Burton.
* The band plays a wide range of music and also promises to get listeners on the dance floor “the second we start playing.” You can check out covers of the band performing Elle King’s “Exs and Ons” and Styx’s “Renegade” on Mandi’s YouTube channel.
* She was also a performer at a Christmas-time fundraiser that raised $4,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
* According to her Voice bio, Mandi has dedicated herself to teaching, putting her own music career on the backburner due to struggles with self-confidence. But with two students who made The Voice, she felt it was time to try the show again herself.

Hi! Just wanted to clarify the band name is Cruisin’ Heavy. They’ve been together about 6.5 years now.
The name of her band is Cruisin Heavy not Heavy Cruisin!!

Mandy and her band are amazing! I have followed Mandy and Cruisin Heavy since they started. Mandy also taught my son Jeremy voice at EStudio. I first heard Mandy sing when she was 18 at The Delta Fair Competion and my son was competing for the 1st time at age 10. Many Won that night , she brought the house down! We love her and you will too! Team Mandy❤️

Mandi is an amazing vocalist and a wonderful coach and mentor for my granddaughter for over 7 seven yrs now. She relates to her students in a way that makes them challenge themselves. She encourages her students to try outside their comfort zone. She is such an inspiration to her students. She is so talented, her voice is amazing.
I have been watching Mandi perform since she has been 11 years old. Have loved watching her become such the entertainer and also how she is passing both her talent and passion to the next generation. The best yet is that she is the most warm hearted, giving, and hilarious person. I truly hope the audience gets to know her and genuinely appreciate her as I do!! Best of luck Mandi… I believe they would have to be “deaf” if you aren’t chosen to progress. And if you are…. enjoy every moment and bless everyone with that voice and personality of yours.
