Michelle Sussett will be a contestant on the new season of American Idol.

Idol premieres March 11 with Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Luke Bryan as the judges who determine which singers make it to Hollywood and which don’t.

Here’s more about Michelle Sussett.

She sings in Spanish and English and on Instagram writes: “God bless America🇺🇸 who gave me a new home when I was living hopeless in Venezuela! Ohh btw, America also gave me the chance to audition for @AmericanIdol.”

It might also be the reason that on Feb. 19, she tweeted: “Today is just a beautiful MONDAY! (Ignoring completely #PresidentsDay 😬)”

Michelle has been singing since she was 4, joined a children’s choir in Venzuela at 9 and moved to Miami at age 18 to pursue her passion for singing.

She won The Ultimate Miami Voice competition in 2015 and was singing background vocals for Latin Grammy winner Laura Pausini the following year.

Both moments are captured on YouTube. She previously auditioned for The Voice and America’s Got Talent.

As for American Idol, she writes the following on Facebook: “Soon one of my biggest dreams and desires is becoming a reality! After so many years i finally auditioned for one of the biggest talent shows in The US — American Idol where i always wanted to be!”
