His blind audition: Shane Q, 28, of Sacramento, Calif. sang Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey”. He immediately displayed a great tone, and Blake Shelton’s “I’ve-got-this-one” gesture prompted a quick and defiant chair turn from Gwen Stefani. But as Shane continued to impress with his pitch-perfect vocals and range, all the other coaches turned as well. That made Shane just the third singer of Season 17 to earn a four-chair turn. John Legend praised the “gospel” in his voice. Kelly Clarkson said she loves his versatility. Gwen noted she was the first to turn. And Blake pointed to his coaching credentials: 24 finalists in 16 seasons. Shane opted to join Team Kelly.

Here’s more about Shane.

* He’s a Sacramento, Calif., based artist who describes himself as a soulful singer who loves all genres of music.

* The Shane Q is short for Shane Quidachay and he plays the ukulele as well as guitar.

* In his Voice bio, Shane says he gets his musical talent from his dad, who gigs with Shane’s uncle and tunes pianos for a living.

* He admits to being painfully shy growing up. And when he first got involved with his school choir, it was by playing drums and the saxophone, not singing.

* That eventually changed, of course. Shane says he picked up a guitar and started singing songs at age 13. He’s been at it ever since and is now 28.

* Shane hasn’t released music, but has a number of covers on his YouTube channel, including one of Camila Cabello’s “Havana.” Check that out below.

* And while he says he’s definitely not strictly a country singer, one of his most recent Instagram posts is a cover of a country song and he says country “is pretty much all I listen to.” He also recently posted a cover of Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy.”

* His full-time job is as a minivan driver transporting clients of United Cerebral Palsy.
