Her audition: Joana Martinez, 15, of Miami, Fla., performed “Call Out My Name” by The Weeknd. Joana displayed a nice soulful tone, but it wasn’t until ater she hit a big power note midway through the performance that three coaches — Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson — turned around almost simultaneously. Blake called it a perfect performance. Joana opted to join Team Blake.

Here’s more about Joana.

* She’s from Miami and already had nearly 1,000 pre-Voice followers on her Instagram page, though it’s less than a year old.

* In 2017, she appeared on the Mega TV program Esta Noche Si, singing “Oye” and “My Heart Will Go On.” She was identified as just 13 years old at the time.

* Joana told Voice Views she won that competition, where she had to go up against other singers four nights in a row. She’s competed in other televised Hispanic TV singing shows as well.

* In 2016, she appears to have made a music video for a song called “Summertime” in conjunction with ArtSing Studio.

* Joana was also a finalist in the 2015 Young Talent Big Dreams competition, belting out Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” in a video that’s still available on YouTube.

* You might say Joana started performing at a young age. All of the videos on her YouTube channel are at least three years old. The oldest features Joana singing Alicia Keys’s “This Girl Is On Fire” at her first performance when she was just 9.

* Joana says she gets her musical talent from her dad, who plays the drums and trumpet, but was unable to pursue a career in music.

* She’s a sophomore at the Miami Arts Studio magnet school, where she’s also involved in musical theater, according to her bio on The Voice website.

* At eighth grade prom, she wase voted “Most Likely to Win The Voice.” And she has the trophy to prove it.

* She told The Voice that she was so shy growing up, she’d make people turn around when she sang. But she says it’s music that “helped me come out of my shell.”
