Among the artists who have announced they auditioned is Talin Everett.
Here’s more about Talin.
* He’s a singer-songwriter from Cedar Hills, Utah.
* He has a song called “Light of the World” on the 2020 Youth album released by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
* The title track of that album — “I Will Go and Do” — comes courtesy of former American Idol runner-up David Archuleta. Also featured is former Voice contestant Aaliyah Rose.
* He is also a cast member and contributed a song for a show called “Fighter,” created by 90&9, a nonprofit that promotes healthy living through media and the performing arts.
* Talin sings a song on the soundtrack called “Chains.” A synopsis describes “Fighter” this way: “This show symbolizes the burdens we carry and can shed through selfless love for others, and the Fight that it takes to rise above that darkness. We are not alone in our hardships or mental and emotional battles.”
* Talin’s other released song is “Forget” and also comes from a church project, an album called “If We Love Him,” which features a pair of tracks from former Voice contestant Lauryn Judd.
* That said, you only have to go to his Instagram page to find songs he wrote. And you can check out “Work of Art” below, a song Talin posted a year ago and says focuses on “my journey to self-love. It is also about encouraging others to look past what they see in the mirror and instead look inside themselves at what truly matters. It is so important to realize: YOU are a work of art.”
* Talin’s also a guy with a sense of humor. One of his song snippets is called “Bleed,” about a threat of violence because of unrequited love. He adds: “Written by a psychotic persona of mine. Do not fret.”
