Recent releases by artists who formerly appeared on The Voice include a trio of covers.

Those come from Troy Ramey, Ryan Whyte Maloney and Citizen Queen, which includes former Voice contestant Hannah Mrozak.

Here’s a look at those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Troy Ramey from Season 12 released his second cover in as many weeks last week. First, he released a recreated version of an original song called “Rosary” from 2014. More recently, he served up a splendid version of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” He’s also been teasing a new original. Troy got married in 2019, wrote a song for his wife and says he’ll be releasing it soon.

* Citizen Queen is back with their first release of 2020, a “Whack World Medley” covering the sounds of Tierra Whack. Of course, this being Citizen Queen, that means there’s a music video too, one which features the a cappella quintet rotating around a table packed with sweet treats. Signed to RCA Records and featuring Season 13 Voice contestant Hannah Mrozak, Citizen Queen has been especially busy lately. “Whack World Medley” marks their fifth release since November.

* Ryan Whyte Maloney, from Season 6, has teamed up with two buddies for a cover of the rock song “Wolf Moon” by Type O Negative. Those buddies are Brendan Shane and Mirko Barbesino. Ryan has been performing in Las Vegas and also works as a songwriter, producer and engineer at TruNorth Recording Studio.
