“Undeniable Love” “was written to say, ‘Take a second to stop taking things too seriously,” the former Voice contestant says in a promo video on his YouTube channel.
“There’s an undeniable love that’s all around us. And it’s visible and it’s tangible. But sometimes we can get lost in the middle of real life, whether that’s school or jobs or parenting or just plain wondering what the heck are we going to do next.”
Charlie wrote the song with Josh Bronleewe and Tony Wood and shot an accompanying music video last week.
Since appearing on Season 3 of The Voice, Charlie has gotten married and now has two young children. He’s also survived a couple of health scares he explains on his website and has decided to focus on faith-based music, with more on the way.
“There is clean music that is relevant, but not nearly enough,” he says in that web bio. “We need to have music available that is good for the soul and spirit, but that can only come with relevance.”
“Undeniable Love” is just one of several recent singles released by former contestants of The Voice.
Others …
* Jaclyn Lovely from Season 14 has a new song out called “Just Like That.” After returning home from a trip to Australia, Jaclyn said she challenged herself to write a song for a day for a solid week. “This is one that I really liked,” she said in a YouTube chat with fans. “Hopefully, you guys can find meaning in it.” Jaclyn, 16, when she auditioned, released a 3-song EP “Out of September” earlier this year.
* Alexandra Joyce has released her first-post Voice single, called “Drunk.” Alexandra was 17 when she auditioned for The Voice Season 13. She turned three chairs with her blind audition, yet both of her performances on the show were montaged.
* Jake Wells from Season 15 of The Voice has released a lovely ballad called “Wanted to Love You” on Spotify. I haven’t seen the song on Apple Music yet. Jake, 23 when he auditioned, made it to the knockout round of The Voice and released a song about the experience, “The Other Side,” late last year.
* Avery Wilson, who was just 16 when he competed on Season 3 of The Voice, has a new single and music video out for a song called “Callin'” Avery wrote and produced the song. It’s the followup to his 2018 EP “fyi.”
* Amanda Ayala, the young rocker featured on Season 9 of The Voice at age 17, has released a new, more pop-oriented single called “Lost You.” In addition to appearing on The Voice, Amanda and her band performed on the TopGolf competition “Who Will Rock You” earlier this year, performing a version of “Proud Mary” that’s also available on Spotify.
The links above take you to the Apple Music versions of the song. You can listen to 30-second snippets in the Spotify playlist below.
