Whitney Myer of The Voice Season 2 is preparing to release a new EP

Whitney Myer, who turned four chairs way back on Season 2 of The Voice, is pretty busy these days.

Let’s count the ways.

She collaborated with the indie/soul duo PrettyDeep, co-writing and singing on a song called “Like a Champion” that first appeared on their new EP, then was used to promote the World Cup winning U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

She’s part of a new band called TriOrca with Phil Simmonds and David Diaz. They played their first show in June, released a debut single and music video called “Ghost.” They’ve since followed up with two more songs, “Late Night” and “The Stroll.”

And she’s releasing new solo music sure to get your feet moving — “Wildlife” and “Animals” — in the past two weeks.

Whitney describes her music as “a nexus of R&B, hip-pop and rock and is working on a new EP. In fact, she says special copies of the EP will be available at her upcoming shows.

There are several of those too, in the Reno area. You can check out all her upcoming show dates on her website and Facebook page.

Here are snippets of “Wildlife” and “Animals.”
