* Wilkes from Season 14 began collaborating with The Coles — E.B. Coles and her husband Shane — on a series of releases last year. Their latest single, “Color Me Black and White” — dropped earlier this month. E.B. wrote the song with Mark Narmore and Jordan Lee. It will appear on the upcoming EP “Hearts Over Charts Vol. 2.” Volume 1 dropped last year. Wilkes, 33 when he auditioned for The Voice, has big news on another front. * Liam St. John from Season 19 has released a pair of songs this month, “Where the Pines Meet the Palms” and “Bottom of the Blues.” he says the latter as inspired by bull rider Ezekiel “Blue” Mitchell. He wrote the song with Season 19 colleague Tori Miller and the duo Yacht Money. Liam has a “stripped back” album coming out June 17 and plans to celebrate with a show in Phoenix. He’s also celebrating 1 million Spotify streams of his 2021 single “Dipped in Bleach.”

* Molly Stevens from Season 14 released a special song called “We Were Meant to Be” last month. Special because it celebrates her adoption of a young boy named Waters, though it was written before he was born and before the adoption took place. Molly wrote the song with Jimmy Fortune, a longtime member of The Statler Brothers. “I remember recording it and wondering if this whole thing would work out,” Molly says of the adoption. “And in those moments I just let it go and I sang into that microphone as if it had already been done. It was a turning point for me to let the fear go and walk into all of this with complete love and honor no matter what the end result may be.” Now she’s six months into being a mom. Congrats, Molly!
