Season 4 finalist Nicholas David returned to The Voice Tuesday night to perform his new single.
And, presto, by this morning, his new EP was something of an iTunes hit.
The “Say Goodbye” EP was sitting at number two on iTunes album chart as of 11 a.m., trailing only “13,” the new Black Sabbath album.
“Say Goodbye” the single is number 75 on the iTunes singles chart.
The four-track EP David announced on The Voice includes three original songs (after one listen “Anything But Quiet” is my early favorite), plus a cover of “You Are So Beautiful.”
On his website, David says the EP was recorded with musicians from The Voice band and produced by its musical director, Paul Mirkovich, partly because of the special bond he formed with the band en route to a third-place finish in Season 3.
The best news for fans, there’s more from David on the way.
As he said on the show Tuesday night and repeats on his website, he’s planning a full-length album in 2014, followed by a national tour.
And, if you aren’t familiar with Nicholas’ pre-Voice music (released as Nicholas Mrozinski), he’s offering three songs as free downloads here.
Here’s a slightly longer version of “Say Goodbye” than the one we heard Tuesday on The Voice.
