A new song called “Wildcard” dropped Friday. So did the accompanying music video.
And Paul announced that his new album, “Modern Hearts,” will be released June 1.
He’s even announced an album release show for June 2 at Analog in Nashville.
“I’m so excited about letting this album out into the world,” Paul writes on Facebook. “Making this album saved my life.”
Paul had said in earlier interviews that the dissolution of his marriage to actress and musical partner Nikki Reed left him in “dark headspace” that he fought his way out of by working on new music that gradually became more upbeat.
“Wildcard” is the fourth stand-alone song the former American Idol contestant has released that will likely wind up on “Modern Hearts,” following “Call Me,” “New Lovers” and “Hold On.”
For Paul’s other upcoming show dates, head to his website. Here’s the music video.
