Swon Brothers coming to the York Fair

The Swon BrothersThe Swon Brothers will perform at the York Fair on Monday, Sept. 8, on the WGTY Great Country Radio Stage.

WGTY operations manager Scott Donato made the announcement this morning, completing the lineup of performers for the free country shows that have been a feature at the fair for years.

The Swon Brothers — Zach and Colton — rose to fame as the third place finishers on Season 4 of The Voice.

Their debut single, “Later On,” has been climbing the country music charts, and they are currently working on their debut album.

Last week, “Later On” climbed to 15 on Billboard’s country airplay chart and 23 on its hot country singles chart. Both are peak positions for the song.

Most of the lineup for the WGTY stage at the fair was announced in early July. The Swon Brothers were booked in March, but the station couldn’t announce the concert until now, Donato said on the air Monday morning.

Since the July announcement, though, more listeners have suggested the Swon Brothers be added to the Great Country Radio Stage lineup than any other act, Donato said.

As I mentioned earlier, the Great Country Radio Stage shows are free with admission to the fair. Most begin at 6:30 p.m.

Other performers set for the week include Lucy Hale (6 p.m. Sept. 6), Brothers Osborne and Josh Thompson (3 p.m. Sept. 7), Chase Rice (Sept. 9), John King (Sept. 10), Maggie Rose (7:30 p.m. Sept. 11), Canaan Smith (Sept. 12), Austin Webb and Jana Kramer (3 p.m. Sept. 13) and Dakota Bradley and Sam Hunt (3 p.m. Sept. 14).
