Tonight, we learn who makes the finals on The Voice.
Twelve singers — three per team — continue on to next week.
That will include the two top vote-getters from each team. Then each coach will get to select another singer to advance.
Here are my Team Blake predictions:
This was supposed to be easy. I mean, you had to figure the three advancing singers would be young Reagan James, who turns 16 tonight, and Blake’s two country music veterans, James David Carter and Craig Wayne Boyd.
But Jessie Pitts seems determined to be the fly in that ointment. Her original take on “Holding Out for a Hero” ranked as fifth best from Monday’s 10 songs on iTunes (James David was 7th), and it isn’t her first iTunes hit. Her version of “Your Song” also did very well.
That’s something Blake will have to take into consideration if both of his country guys don’t advance on fan voting. Does he move both forward and risk splitting the country vote heading into the finals? Or does he take a chance on Jessie and her unique vocal style.
Craig Wayne has been the most impressive country singer on the show so far; he must advance. Reagan is simply the most ready-for-prime-time 15-year-old ever to grace The Voice stage.
My picks would be Craig Wayne, Reagan and Jessie. My hunch is Blake will go with a trio of Craig Wayne, Reagan and James David, remembering that having two country acts in the finals isn’t exactly a problem. Exhibit A: Season 4 when Danielle Bradbery won and The Swon Brothers were third.

I don’t understand how America could leave out a few of the singers
that obviously are the real deal. I am disappointed but realize this is
America and everyone has their opinion. I don’t see a few of these
singers, although good, will make it any farther then the Voice Stage.
