Todd Tilghman scored the biggest Apple Music hit following Monday’s performance finale of The Voice Season 18.

Even though streams and downloads of songs from the show don’t count for votes this spring, Todd’s “Long Way Home” rocketed to number two on the overall singles chart by midnight, two hours after the show ended.

It also soared to number two on the country singles chart. In both cases, the only song ahead of it was Luke Bryan’s “One Margarita.”

And by 11 a.m. eastern time Tuesday — four hours after voting had ended — Todd’s song completed its journey to the top of the charts, landing at number one on both.

Todd performed “Long Way Home” as his original song choice during Monday’s episode. Former Voice contestant Ryan Innes originally wrote the song and pitched it on NBC’s “Songland.”

Only the original songs from Monday’s show and the artist-coach duets which will be aired Tuesday night are available on Apple Music.

But even the chart results for the duets are providing an early sign that Todd might be fans’ choice for the Season 18 Voice title.

“The Authority Song” by Todd and Blake Shelton was number 55 on the overall Apple Music chart at midnight. Only one other duet had charted at that point, “You’ll Be My Heart” by Thunderstorm Artis and Nick Jonas at number 187.

As for the originals, Toneisha Harris and Thunderstorm Artis had also cracked the Top 20 as of midnight, at number 18 and number 25, respectively.

Here’s at updated look at where all the songs stood as of 11 a.m. eastern time.
