Who’s in danger of going home tonight on The Voice?

Wow. Good question.

You have to think Austin Jenckes is feeling a bit of pressure right now.

For the second straight week, his Voice performance song landed at or near the bottom on iTunes.

Today, when voting ended, it was sitting 10th among 10 Voice songs on iTunes, by a wide margin.

You have to figure Kat Robichaud is a bit nervous.

She received the first-ever Voice instant save just a week ago.

This week, her version of “We Belong” landed ninth among the 10 songs on iTunes.

Kat just might need another instant save to stay in the competition.

But the instant save goes to one of the bottom three, and if Kat and Austin are the most likely candidates to land in that group, who joins them?

The rest of the Voice songs from Monday night were packed between 15 and 51 on the iTunes chart, which is pretty darn closely packed, especially when the voting is occurring on a Tuesday, when lots of other artists are releasing new music.

The artist sitting at number eight on iTunes is none other than Jacquie Lee, a seeming front-runner heading into this week. Could she be in danger tonight?

For a look at precisely where all the songs from last night landed on iTunes, head here.

Of course, before we get any results, we’ll get some group numbers, starting off with Christina Aguilera singing with Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler.

Hey, considering some of the group numbers we’ve seen so far this year, that medley came off very well. Especially the closing segment of “I’m Bad.”

After lots and lots of chatter, we finally get down to some results …

Safe on The Voice are:

James Wolpert of Team Adam. The guy from Lancaster is in the Top 8.
Matthew Schuler of Team Christina. Little surprise there. He gave a splendid show-closing performance.
Ray Boudreaux of Team Blake. He was one of the contestants on the fringe, so some of the contestants on stage just got more nervous.
Will Champlin of Team Adam. That means all three of Adam’s artists should be safe, because Tessanne should not be going home.

Hey, the group numbers are much better tonight. James, Will and Kat Robichaud rocked it out on “Sugar, We’re Going Down.” Now Blake and his team are turning in a fine version of ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man.” The final group number of the night is a duet, Tessanne and Caroline singing “Royals.”

Also safe on The Voice:

Tessanne Chin of Team Adam: Told you so.
Jacquie Lee of Team Christina. Whew. Now, do not declaw the kitten who becomes a tiger with the right song next week, Christina! Last night, Jacquie Lee was victim of a poor song choice.

Interesting. If you haven’t figured it out yet, this means either Cole Vosbury or Caroline Pennell is in danger of elimination.

It won’t be Cole Vosbury. He’s safe. Not surprising. He had the best performing song on iTunes this week.

And it’s time to tweet instant saves for Kat Robichaud, Caroline Pennell or Austin Jenckes.

I’ve tweeted my choice: Kat, of course.

Instantly saved this week: Caroline Pennell.

That means Kat and Austin head home.
