Cassadee Pope has had plenty to celebrate already this month.

First and foremost, the Chris Young “Think of You” duet on which she’s featured just landed at number one on Billboard’s country airplay chart.

She got to perform the song with Chris at the iHeart Country Music Festival last weekend.

And Chris’ tour has been extended with stops in Johnstown (Oct. 27) and Wilkes-Barre, Pa.(Dec. 3) and Salisbury, Md. (Nov. 18) included. Cassadee’s an opening act, as well as joining Chris for the duet each night.

Now comes word that Cassadee will release a new single, “Summer,” on June 3. It’s a song she’s been performing on tour for a while now and one she co-wrote. In one clip I watched, she describes it as a song about growing up in Florida.

SoundsLikeNashville.com is reporting that Cassadee will release a four-track EP on June 3, with “Summer” as one of the tracks.

Cassadee’s own message to fans isn’t quite as specific. It includes the photo above with this message: “A sneak peek at the music video for ‪#‎Summer‬ out June 3rd! Can’t wait for you all to hear it ☀️ ‪#‎SummerEP‬”

Whenever the EP lands, it will be the first major release from The Voice’s Season 3 champ since her “Frame by Frame” album landed in October 2013.

That album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 and remains one of the top-selling albums released by a former contestant from the show.
