New post-Voice music out includes country singles from Josh Gallagher, Andrew Sevener and Kristen Merlin.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.

* Josh Gallagher, a Season 11 finalist, released an up-tempo country tune called “Up Right” on Friday. He wrote the song with Mark Addison Chandler, Davis Corley and John Caldwell. “I wanted to be true to the life we live in the South with this song, and I think between both of the verses, we were able to do just that,” Josh told Raised Rowdy. “I think this is a song that will resonate with people, no matter how they were raised.”

* Kristen Merlin from Season 6 released “Shame” on Friday, just in time for Pride Month. And she writes on Instagram that she’s hoping it takes off as a new Pride anthem. The song is pretty much summed up by the lyrics “shame, that you just can’t see / I’m more than who I hold hands with.” Kristen wrote the song with Catt Gravitt and Jake Rose. “This song really is about everyone out there who has come to face with some sort of shame in their life, whether it’s who you choose to love, what race you were born into or how you choose to live your life,” says Kristen.

* Andrew Sevener from Season 16 released “Hungover” on Friday. Says Andrew: “I’m super excited about this one. I’ve had this song for a while and now I’m finally getting to share it with all of y’all!” It’s the first release of 2021 for Andrew, who has a busy schedule of show dates around Texas in June.
