Recent post-Voice releases include singles from Kat Robichaud, Cami Clune and Kendra Checketts.
Here’s more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Kat Robichaud from Season 6 served up a double treat on Friday. There’s a great new tune called “Anxiety Song.” And there’s a fun new music video featuring a big orange anxiety monster, courtesy of Dave Haaz-Baroque of the Shadow Circus Creature Theater. Kat and Mark Semegen directed the video. Kat wrote the song for Misfit Cabaret’s “Asylum” show. Misfit Cabaret is an offbeat variety show Kat created in San Francisco about seven years ago. She and her collaborators are wrapping up a run of a vampire-themed show called “Bite.” That will be followed by “A Very Merry Misfit Cabaret.”

Cami Clune from Season 19 issues a warning to would-be suitors in a catchy new single called “Parasite” that dropped Friday. It’s follows 2021’s “Old at 20” as the second original from Cami since the show. She’s been struggling with health problems so severe she’s been unable to sing at times, prompting her mother to create a Go Fund Me on Cami’s behalf. In a release-day chat with fans, Cami said she’s been doing better lately, writing like crazy and hopes to get back in the studio to record more music soon.

Kendra Checketts from Season 16 ponders the future of a relationship in her latest pop single, “Kinda Sorta.” It’s follows “Kiss Kiss Bye Bye” as the second single of 2022 for Kendra, who competed on The Voice at age 19 and has been releasing a steady stream of music ever since.
