Page Mackenzie had her performance on The Voice montaged for a second time Monday night.

And after the show, she took to social media to express her “disappointment” in that fact.

She had a sympathizer in her plight — none other than Voice coach Kelsea Ballerini, who said her performance “deserves to have been shown.”

Page, 32, from Charleston, S.C., is a member of the band July Moon. She made the show by earning two chair turns for a performance of “Hell on Heels” by the Pistol Annies, then won a battle round match with Robert Hunter. They sang Morgan Wallen’s “Lies, Lies, Lies,” but just a couple seconds of that performance aired on March 24.

On Monday’s show, she was matched up with Alanna Lynise in the knockouts, where each singer performs a solo. Kelsea decided to advance Alanna, meaning Page was eliminated.

“My KO on The Voice ‘aired’ tonight and I was montaged … again,” Page wrote on Instagram. “I sang while I was sick, tired and run down, but determined.

“I gave it everything I had and I was proud of what I left on that stage. But it wasn’t shown. Just a few seconds cut into a montage.

“This is the second time this has happened and it’s hard not to feel invisible. What’s even harder is knowing I’m not alone. Some of the most gifted artists I’ve ever had the honor to share this experience with were also edited out.

“We came here with something real to give, and it deserved more care, more space, more respect.

“It’s clear the show is centered around other things. But for us, it was always about the music, connection and courage it takes to show up.

“I’m not angry, but I am disappointed. These artists deserved to be seen and heard. And while the show may not have given them that, we still can.”

Page goes on to encourage fans to follow the artists after the show. And she thanks the crew and the band and her coach, Kelsea.

Page reveals that she sang “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain in the knockout. And Kelsea apparently gave Page a chance to explain her song choice to the audience, even after she was eliminated. Read Page’s complete post here.

Kelsea responded to Page’s post, writing: “I see you sister. I’m so sorry that happened. I’m gutted for you too. I remember how incredible that performance was in the room and it deserves to be shown.”

In truth, Page probably knew what was coming and wrote her post before the show aired. Because she gave The Voice too much credit.

Page wasn’t even mentioned on the show. Not a single second of her performance aired.

And The Voice montaged her knockout after wasting an hour of Monday night airtime — from 8 to 9 p.m. — recapping knockout matches that aired last week.

I applaud her for speaking out, because not enough artists have the courage to do so after being disrespected by The Voice. Understand, artists spend weeks preparing for these performances, only to see them wind up on the cutting room floor.

And Page is right, she isn’t alone. Artists who made the show were montaged during the blind auditions, even though The Voice found time to air nearly full performances from nine artists who didn’t make the show. Aaron Rizzo was also montaged twice; he left Season 23 without having a single performance air.

Head here to learn more about Page. Pre-Voice, she had released music as a solo artist. July Moon released its first song with Page as a member last June. It sounds like lots more is on the way. The band also impressively covered Page’s blind audition song in a YouTube video. And Page’s dog has his own Instagram, @thenashvilleweenie.
