Kat Perkins, the female rocker who excelled on Season 6 of The Voice, has released her first post-show single.
And it’s a celebration of her experience on the show. So she told her hometown media outlet, TwinCities.com.
“The experience was so inspiring that I just had to have a song that captures a lot of that, and I think ‘Fearless’ does,”
she said.
Yep, the song is called “Fearless,” and it’s more power ballad than hard rock. You can listen below.
After its release last week, the song surged into the top 5 on iTunes rock singles chart.
And Kat followed that up by playing a sold-out show in her native North Dakota Friday night, though another sold out show set for Saturday had to be pushed back to Sept. 7.
Kat was 33 when she auditioned for The Voice. She chose to join Team Adam after three coaches turned around for her rendition of “Gold Dust Woman.”
She wound up advancing all the way to the Top 5 before being eliminated.
Pre-Voice, she was lead singer for the rock band Scarlet Haze, which released an album in 2012.
