Sarah Simmons, a Top 8 finisher on Season 4 of The Voice, has a new single out.
It’s called “Cocaine” — no it’s not an Eric Clapton cover — and it’s the first in a series of single Sarah says she’ll be releasing.
“This song is dear to my heart in a lot of ways,” Sarah writes on Facebook. “From overcoming everyday addictions, but also going through others overcoming around me that I love. Addictions run in so many categories.”
Since The Voice, Sarah also released a fine 2016 album called “Freedom” and music videos for two songs from that album — “Staring at the Sun” and “Honey I’m Fine.”
She’s also gotten married and, in fact, celebrated her first anniversary this week.
Here’s the excellent country-tinged “Cocaine.” On Instagram, Sarah says it’s the first in a series of monthly singles.
