Former Voice contestant Cody Belew has released the first two songs from an upcoming album.

The album comes from Tony Lucca, who finished third on The Voice Season 2. “Ain’t No Storm” marks his first full-length album since 2015 and stems from songs he’s written and “salted away” since moving to Nashville in 2013.

“This is about as honest an album as I could ever make,” he says in a press release announcing the project. “There were very few takes of each song even recorded. Most of the vocals were recorded right along with the acoustic guitar.”

Tony will be touring to support the project, beginning with a Monday album release show at the True Music Room in Nashville. The tour will also land in Philly (April 24) and the D.C. area (April 25).

* We haven’t heard from Cody Belew for a while, but the Top 8 finisher from Season 3 fixed that Friday by dropping a pair of singles — “Crimes” and “The Choice (a Lonely Heart Makes).” Both will be on his upcoming album “The Wreck,” due out later this year.

* Season 2 standout Anthony Evans released a pop album in November, but returns to Christian / gospel music with his new single, the uplifting “Fighting For Us.” It’s the first single from his upcoming album Altared. He’s also about to head out on a FerVent 2.0 tour with Priscilla Shirer.

* After a series of pop singles since The Voice, Season 10’s Brian Nhira this week released “I Am,” a song with what he describes as a simple message. “You are a child of God,” he writes on Instagram. “That is the basis of your whole identity. When you believe this, no label society tries to put on you can stick.”
