After her time on The Voice, Betsy Ade proclaims herself ready to rock.

Though perhaps not exactly the same way she did before the show.

Betsy is front woman for the Midwest rock band Well-Known Strangers, which has already released an album and an EP.

She landed a spot on Team John Legend in the Season 16 blind auditions, was twice stolen and made it all the way to the cross battles as a member of Team Adam Levine before being eliminated.

Here what’s Betsy, 40 when she auditioned, told Voice Views about her time on The Voice and the music she and the band will be working on next.

Voice Views: Which was your favorite performance on The Voice and why?

Betsy: That’s a tough question! I loved being on that beautiful stage for all of them. I think my favorite was my last performance of “Are You Gonna be My Girl.” I thought I pulled off my little tricks well and sounded the best of all my performances! I loved that Adam made a guitar for me, but I wish I could’ve taken a piece of it home. Singing with Adam (on the Bob Marley Team sing) was absolutely electric. He is a cool cat!

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next?

Betsy: I plan on releasing a new EP this summer, writing and releasing music like a mad woman and using all of the precious advice and secrets given to continue to grow as a musician and eventually master my craft. Always room to grow!!

Voice Views: Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future. If so, what can you tell me about that? And, what can fans expect in terms of sound/timing?

Betsy: Yes! Betsy Ade and The Well-Known Strangers will be continue to produce our cello infused rock sound with a little lighter pop feel instead of the past complicated heavy electric guitar. We are focusing on “less is more”

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Betsy: Absolutely! Let me count the ways:
1: I learned how to talk to press/think and respond quickly on my feet.
2: I learned calming techniques in the midst of what seems like a storm of anxiety (meditation)
3: I learned grace under fire
4: I was able to perform as I usually do(for the most part) under enormous pressure.
5: I was able to increase my range by two whole notes!
6: I have learned about the art of fashion, hair, and Makeup. (Needed that!)
7: I was exposed to so many elite professionals that inspired me every day. Just watching them work made me want to conduct myself differently when I returned to my music scene.
8: I have more confidence in myself now than EVER before.
9: I realized how much my hometown believes in me and take that responsibility with a sense of humbleness and pride.
10: I have made lifetime connections and relationships with all the contestants. I really felt like I gained a bunch of brothers and sisters.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about your experience on the show?

Betsy: I am and forever will be so grateful for this opportunity. I have been very well taken care of and I am in awe of the tenacious efforts made by the producers, publicists, staff, musicians..etc. On behalf of myself, all of my family, friends, and fans I thank you most deeply and most sincerely. I’M READY TO ROCK!!!!
