Here’s a look at some of the new music released recently by former contestants from The Voice.

Among those releasing music are Shilo Gold, Jordy Searcy, Josiah Hawley, Madilyn Paige and The Shades with former Voice contestant Andrew DeMuro.

The links take you to the singles on Apple Music. And you can check out snippets of all the songs below.

* Shilo Gold from Season 14 has released her second collaboration with So Wylie. It’s a song called “Simple” and follows “Teach Me,” which they released this summer. It’s the fourth single this year from Shilo and it sounds like more collaborations with So Wylie are on the way.

* The Shades, featuring Season 11’s Andrew DeMuro, released “Love Me or Let Me Be,” the second single from their upcoming EP. The four-song “Draw” is due out Oct. 25 and features the second since Andrew’s appearance on The Voice for the trio. The Shades also include brothers Mark and Phil Jacobson.

* Jordy Searcy from Season 7 released a single called “Fire” on Friday and said it includes his favorite guitar riff he’s recorded so far. That’s saying something considering that the singer-songwriter has released some very fine original music since appearing on the show, including his 2018 album “Dark in the City.”

* Josiah Hawley from Season 4 released a soulful pop single called “Gonna Let You Go.” It’s just the second original since he finished Top 10 on The Voice back in 2013. In a series of social media videos leading up to the release, he admits he began to wonder if music was the right place for him about three years ago. But he been performing a lot in Tokyo and sounds re-energized now. And as though there’s more Josiah music to come.

* Madilyn Paige of Season 6 has dropped two excellent new covers in the past week, “If I Can’t Have You” by Shawn Mendes and “I Don’t Care” by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. Madilyn finished Top 20 in Season 6 and has been releasing a steady stream of fine covers and original music ever since.
