Cam Spinks promised fans new music shortly after Season 18 of The Voice ended.

He wound up missing his goal by a week, but fans benefited from that too.

Cam not only released the planned single — “Leave Me Alone” — on Friday. He added two bonus tracks — “No One to Impress” and “Wish It Was Mine” — because the single failed to come out last week as originally planned.

He wrote all three songs; his friend Sean Power produced all three.

“Leave Me Alone” finds Cam pleading with an ex to let him move on from the relationship that’s seen better days.

“I wrote that song mostly while I was in California filming for the show actually,” he told Voice Views. “We had a lot of down time, so I forced myself to spend as much as possible trying to nail out some new material.

As for why he made “Leave Me Alone” his first post-Voice release …

“I don’t really have a particular reason aside from the fact that we liked the feel and the lyrics and felt they were very relatable. We thought that it had a strong contemporary feel to it that people would enjoy.”

From Alabaster, Ala., Cam was 29 when he auditioned for The Voice with a cover of Pat Green’s “Wave on Wave” and landed a spot on Team Blake Shelton.

The three songs released Friday are hardly his first. In fact, Cam had released three EPs in the two years prior to his appearance on the show, including “I Got It From My Daddy,” which dropped last September.
