New post-Voice music out this week includes singles from Allegra Miles and Kevin Farris and a cover song from the duo OneUp.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links below take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Allegra Miles from Season 18 released “Eyes” on Friday. It marks the 17-year-old singer-songwriter’s first release since auditioning for The Voice at age 16 and making it all the way to the Top 9. It’s also just Allegra’s second release ever, following 2019’s “4 A.M.,” which has racked up nearly 450,000 streams on Spotify. The press release announcing the single says Allegra will be releasing her debut EP in early 2021.

* Kevin Farris From Season 18 has also released his first song since The Voice. Kevin said he chose “Higher” to release first because he thinks it’s a song with which lots of listeners can relate. “Higher,” he said, ” is an emotional play on distance and isolation. The story speaks to being separated from something good for the soul, and watching it unfold from a distance. The nostalgia that arises from reflecting upon memories taken for granted and feeling as though you don’t have the right words to verbalize said emotions. We so often keep things hidden inside when we’re afraid to express them.”

* OneUp from Season 15 — the duo featuring Adam Bastien and Jerome Bell — released a cover of NSYNC’s “This I Promise You” earlier this month. Meanwhile, the duo’s original from earlier this year, “Turn It Up”, has been streamed more than 115,000 times on Spotify. That single is a collaboration with Hovlaine.
