* Jessica Childress from Season 3 released a four-song EP called “I’m Learning” on Friday. It’s her first major project since her 2018 album “Days.” And it includes the fabulous “Walk with Me,” released as a single a couple of weeks back. Also be sure to check out the ballad “Little Town.” “This EP marks the culmination of one of the most profoundly impactful and difficult periods of my life,” writes Jessica on Instagram. “It pushed me. It built me. It taught me. And I am so grateful for it. It’s called ‘I’m Learning’ because I feel like the work never stops. You’re always in process. Always leveling up some way.”

* Amanda Brown from Season 3 dropped “From Here,” her third single of 2020, on Friday. Writes Amanda on Instagram: “During a time when so many of us have felt stuck and stifled, I hope this release is a testament to the power of creativity … human resilience and the importance of one’s voice and honoring one’s story. I can’t tell you how many times I silenced myself for the benefit of others. F–k that! I am so grateful to be able to share this song with you. To be open, honest and myself. I don’t know where we go from here but I know we’ll figure it out if we learn to embrace the truth, ourselves and each other.”

* Matthew Schuler from Season 5 released an uplifting new single called “We Rule the Night” on Friday, describing it as a song of “hope.” Writes Matthew: ‘We Rule the Night’ tells a story of falling in love in the city. Painting a night where anything seems possible and nothing matters but the moment we’re living in. (The song) is a fantasy about running through the city with the one you love during a time in which the entire world is on lockdown. It’s a song about freedom, an inexpressible euphoria. It’s a shout in the darkness, a light in your heart that will never fade.”
