Gabby Barrett’s certainly forging ahead after her third-place finish on American Idol.

The country singer from the Pittsburgh area just dropped the music video for an original called “Young Blood.”

It’s a song she released back in March, during her run on the show. The video was filmed at the Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Canonsburg, Pa.

“I wrote this song about always having dreams even when things don’t seem to be going your way,” Gabby writes about “Young Blood” on Facebook. “Wake up every day believing this could be the day your dreams come true.”

Though she failed to win Idol, those words come from someone who’s seen some dreams come true over the past few months.

“Honestly, this was the best experience I could have ever possibly went through,” she said in a post-Idol interview you can watch here.

“Looking back, eight months form my audition, if I had thought to myself, ‘You’re going to sing with Carrie Underwood. You’re going to meet her and you’re going to get words of wisdom from her. And you’re going to meet Bobby Bones. You’re going to meet Luke Bryan.’ It’s just crazy, all of it.

“This is a journey I’ve learned so much from in a small amount of time and I’ll take it with me forever.”

Here’s the music video for “Young Blood.”
