Jess Meuse and Alex Preston impressed with originals.
Caleb Johnson rocked the stage, both solo and during a duet with Jess.
Jena Irene put her own twist on an oft-performed song by Adele.
And Dexter Roberts and Malaya Watson turned in their best performances since the finals began.
