Based on YouTube views, Baylee Littrell scored the most popular performance from Monday’s episode of American Idol.
And the 22-year-old from Atlanta, Ga., son of Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell, is looking more and more like a front-runner on Season 23.
Baylee’s Hollywood Arena performance of an unreleased original called “Hey Jesus” had been viewed more than 540,000 times on YouTube as of noon Friday.
That’s 250,000 more views than had been racked up by the second most popular audition video, Jamal Roberts’ cover of “Her Heart” by Anthony Hamilton.
For some reason, Idol posted videos of just six performances from Sunday’s show. And only one features a female singer.
That’s a shame because Drew Ryn, Breanna Nix and 15-year-old Mattie Pruitt were also outstanding.
The numbers are below. Follow the links for more on each singer.

He is the Chosen One by “Idol” producers.
Another WGWG wins the show.
The only one from the “Idol” seasons on ABC who has found success is Gabby Barrett.
