Brooke Simpson has released her second single since finishing third on Season 13 of The Voice.

Whatever happened to the happy girl who writes sad songs?

That’s the way Season 13 Voice standout Brooke Simpson has described herself.

But her new single “Perfect” is about as uplifting as a song gets. It’s incredibly catchy too.

Says Brooke: “‘Perfect’ is dedicated to my fans on twitter. One day I was in a writing session and tweeted for writing inspiration. So many people responded with real life issues: sadness, loneliness, loss … so from that I wrote ‘Perfect.'”

The song was co-written by J. Glaze, Alyjah Decker and Earl Cohen.

It’s Brooke second single since finishing third on Season 13. She released “2 A.M.” back in February.

From North Carolina, Brooke was 26 when she auditioned for the show and turned all four coaches’ chairs with her cover of “Stone Cold.”

Here’s the lyric video for “Perfect.”
