Koryn Hawthorne from The Voice Season 9 has released her sophomore album.

Koryn Hawthorne, a finalist on The Voice Season 8, released her sophomore album, “I Am”, on Friday.

The 10-song album immediately soared to number one on the Apple Music Christian / gospel albums charts.

As of Wednesday, it was still sitting in the Top 10.

Koryn’s latest single is also doing well, checking in at number 29 on Billboard’s gospel airplay chart and number 12 on the hot gospel songs chart.

Koryn, 22, finished fourth on The Voice the year fellow teen Sawyer Fredericks won The Voice crown.

Her debut album “Unstoppable” came out in 2018, hit number one on Billboard and featured the smash hit “Won’t He Do It,” which set a record for consecutive weeks at number one on the gospel singles chart.

Koryn is also the only former Voice contestant to be nominated for Grammys twice and was just nominated for a Billboard Music Award as best gospel artist.

She wrote co-wrote seven of the tracks on the new album, and explains the project’s name this way.

“The album is entitled I Am because my journey has come full circle,” she says.

“I am who God says I am. I am called to be everything that He has called me to be.

“I pray that people step into their calling. I pray that this album turns hearts towards God. That when you go deeper and discover Him, you will discover yourself.”

Here’s the music video for her current single, “Speak to Me.”
