The flower girl from Season 11 of The Voice is back with a new song and a new video.

And, yep, a flower is featured in that video.

But lots has changed with Darby Anne Walker since she auditioned for The Voice at age 17 and made it all the way to the Top 11 as a member of Team Miley Cryus.

She’s moved from Los Angeles to New York and back to L.A. She’s changed her look. She’s shortened her stage name to just Darby.

She’s experienced her first love and her first heartbreak.

And, based on her new song “Play Pretend,” she has an intoxicating new sound.

“Play Pretend” is a song about that love and heartbreak, Darby, now 19, explained Saturday in an online chat with fans.

The video starts with two lovers in an all-white bedroom. Before long, blue paint — symbolizing the boyfriend — enters the picture.

“The blue paint dripping down is the mess we made,” Darby told fans. “We were so caught up in the love and so infatuated with what was going on, we didn’t realize we were completely making a mess out of everything we wanted and dreamed of having together.”

The sunflower in the video, of course, represents Darby, who says that flower always seems to show up at key moments in her life, including when Miley presented her with a bouquet of them on The Voice.

More of the new Darby is on the way. Her album, “OK, Baby, Until Tomorrow” drops May 15.

Meanwhile, here’s “Play Pretend.”
